What is the weathering process?
This is the process that naturally occurs with Corten Steel. It forms a stable protective ‘rusty’ layer to stop it rusting and wearing away. This process eliminates the need for painting and the steel lasts longer.
All Corten steel products are shipped in the raw steel (unweathered) condition. The weathering process takes 6-8 weeks.
Please advise on ordering if you would prefer we send your order in the weathered rust-like state. We can speed up the process and send it rusted.
Will Corten steel products mark the surface they rest on?
With Corten steel there may be a slight leeching period while the steel is forming its protective rust layer. We suggest placing the product on pavers if you are placing it on a deck or surface where the runoff will be noticeable. There is a solution of vinegar and water that may be applied to concrete if staining occurs. Please advise us on ordering if you would prefer we send your order in the weathered state. We can speed up the process and send it rusted.

Shipping & Delivery
We use Mainstream Freight for our Fire Pits and Planters. You will receive a despatch email from them.
Woodstacks and Fire Glass are couriered and we will advise you when your shipment has been despatched and tracking details if applicable.
How long will it take to get my order?
Our larger steel products are made to order so generally a 2 week lead time. We will advise if there is a longer wait. Please notify us if you require urgently when placing an order. Woodstacks allow 1 week. Fire Glass generally 2-3 working days. Rural Deliveries and remote locations can take longer.
